Perhaps they fixed this with an update, I haven't used it for the last six months or so. Something to take into account at least.Kramster1 you are more than welcome to my copy. It is good and with some really exotic keyboards. I found the student piano interesting and had some good qualities to it.Įvil Dragon I must admit I wasn't overly impressed with the electric pianos, I actually found Pianoteq's a little more intimate, maybe not as much detail but not far off from Keyscape at all. The only thing I would suggest to Modartt is maybe make the U4 a little more meatier as it does sound quite thin. I know that upright pianos are not as powerful obviously but that was one thing I felt Keyscape did do a bit better. But I have made a new preset which does rectify that slightly, I added an amp and boosted the bass a little and added a long plate om the reverb, then moved the condition bar slap bang in the middle which I feel has given the U4 a bit of character and some added emotion. Yes I agree with the pedal on Keyscape, big let down really. The one thing I have always found with all sampled pianos is they lack that digging in feeling which is one thing Pianoteq hits on the head with. ![]() I own Ravenscroft which I actually feel is the better piano out of Keyscape and VI Labs as it is a bit more dynamic, I haven't tried Synthogy Ivory so I cannot comment but I always seem to find myself going back to Pianoteq. I will honestly admit that I have had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Pianoteq over the years so I go and try something else thinking the grass is greener on the other side, but the truth is I have come back deeply humbled and more appreciative of the work Modartt have actually done because it is the closest thing to a real piano I have come across. I went to London a little while back and went into the Bluthner showroom and I was amazed at how accurate the modelling was to their Bluthner Model One it was an incredible eye opener. By the way Bluthner amazing pianos truly are, alongside Fazioli and Bechstein it is one of my favourite pianos. I have heard a lot of great things about Ravenscroft, they say it is the pianists piano as they actually got a lot of feedback from pianists to customize the sound. I would love to get my hands on one to play. I spend a lot of time listening to people play the Ravenscroft ( I like the bigger one ). I is a great escape for all the noise around the rest of the NAMM show. Last year I came across a pianist playing various pianos in the "piano room". I was impressed and asked if she tried the Ravenscroft yet. she didn't so I brought her over and took the big one. ![]() told the owner of the company and his son and a few others at their both that they have to listen to her. ![]() Video cameras came out and she started playing.wow. she played various pieces and no one wanted her to stop, I know I didn't. she never said much about herself so we looked her up. Gifted I say and we are friends on FaceBook now.nice.Īlso the couple years before, Brockett Parsons ( Lady Gaga's piano/keyboardist ) was playing it a lot as well, he played some cool jazz stuff.
